Suggestion: take the "pro-dragon" ring off the SR list for level 4 and maybe move it to level 7 or 8.
If I understand how "pro-" works; you are 80% immune to attacks/spells from that enounter type.
Running pro-dragon ring is pretty much a "must have" for the deeper levels, especially on level 10 where 17 of the 18 SR's are dragon encounters.
Now; given how great this item is - Level 4 has got to be one of the easiest levels to SR because of the layout; there's only a few rotators/tp's and there are no cut-off rooms you have to tp into.
I think I heard from one of the guys that this item was originally a "sword+1 pro-dragon" which would have been more balanced.
Alternate viewpoints are welcome. [glow=red,2,300]-rfc[/glow]

It does seem odd at first blush that a ring the studs need to run deep is found on such a low level.
However, one very interesting side effect of it being available only on a low-level SR is that it becomes an economic advantage for low-level characters/players.
The mooses really do NOT want to spend their time sring 4 over and over again trying to find these rings when they could be down on 7-8 having some real fun and accumulating significant $$/XP. I mean, it's drudge work, face it. The lower-level chars who actually run 4 in earnest (and die along the way) will dig up these rings in the normal course of their adventures. Because the moose chars need these rings they make great trade items for the finders, and it gives the lower-level chars the opportunity to get some better armor, weapons, etc., things that the powerfuls chars have found on deeper levels and have been able to stock up on.
Frankly, it would be nice if there were more itms like this! It's a really kind of neat economic effect, and I wonder if it was at all intentional!
